As I was driving home yesterday, an add came on the radio. I just had to share it with all the mom's out there with teenage girls that are or will be graduating high school and will be attending Grad/Prom!
It's called Gowns for Grad. This is a great recycling program, especially for those teens that may not be able to afford a brand new prom dress, which means they couldn't attend. The program is a "pay it forward" gesture open to all students who graduate from school, and in years to come. They have made it open to ALL graduates within the city of Winnipeg! After the gowns are cleaned, the school will set up a "dress shop" where the young women can pick out their gown of choice.
I just think that this is an amazing idea for all those young girls that can now attend their Prom and look beautiful in a recycled gown.
I wish all the luck to all the 2009 Graduates!
